Minjee Lee and Keegan Bradley celebrated big wins as their respective tours visited Texas and Connecticut.

Minjee Lee Blows Away The Fields

The LPGA Tour brought their third major of the year, the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, to the new home of the PGA of America for the first time. The wide-open Fields Ranch East course (designed by Gil Hanse) was a windy challenge every day, leading to higher scores than you usually see in a pro tournament. Minjee Lee had accumulated enough of a lead after three rounds to win by three strokes despite shooting a 2-over-par 74 in the final round. American Auston Kim and Chanettee Wannasaen of Thailand shot matching 68’s on Sunday to make big moves up the leaderboard and tie for 2nd place.

In addition to the East course, Fields Ranch also has a second 18-hole course designed by Beau Welling and a 10-hole par 3 course that was a collaboration of Hanse and Welling. The courses are open for public play (at some eye-popping prices), offer private memberships and offer increased availability for guests at the adjacent Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa. It’s about 30 miles north of downtown Dallas.

The 2026 Women’s PGA Championship will be held at Hazeltine National Golf Club near Minneapolis.

Keegan Bradley Wins Again in Connecticut

Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley birdied the 18th hole on Sunday to take advantage of a late collapse by Tommy Fleetwood (we always want to call him “Mick”) and win the PGA Tour’s Travelers Championship for the second time in three years. Bradley picked up the biggest of the big checks paid out after this week’s “Signature Event” with a final score of 15-under-par 265. The victory moved him from 30th to 8th place in the FedEx Cup standings.

The Travelers Championship is this year’s only New England stop on the PGA Tour, played as always at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut, a few miles south of Hartford.
