Course Details

The 36 holes of golf at Bayonet-Black Horse Golf Course are located within view of the Pacific Ocean in the appropriately named Seaside, California. The two courses - Bayonet and Black Horse - aren't as well known as some of the other world-famous courses near the Monterey Peninsula, but still offer great golf in a great location. Originally developed in the 1950's and 1960's as part of the US Army's Fort Ord military base, the courses were inherited by the town of Seaside when the fort was closed in 1997. The courses were designed by the generals in charge of the base at the time of their creation, but renovated with the assistance of course architect Gene Bates in 2008. Both courses are par 72 layouts and are a little over 7,000 yards from the back tees.  You can find hotels near Bayonet-Black Horse Golf Course at TheRealPlaces.com.

IZZO Golf Ball Grabber

Back starting to bother you? Attach one of these handy bits of plastic to your putter and bend over 18 fewer times per round.

Telescopic Golf Ball Retriever

Balls can be expensive. There's nothing wrong with taking a few seconds to pull a ball or two out of one of those bleeping "penalty areas".
