Shadow Creek Golf Course

Course Details

Construction of Shadow Creek Golf Course was completed in 1989. It's a course that could probably only happen in a place like Las Vegas or Dubai. Course architect Tom Fazio was given an unlimited budget to create a golf oasis in the Vegas desert. It's estimated that $60 million was spent moving over 3 million cubic yards of dirt, installing over 20,000 trees and plants and creating numerous water features. It's most definitely not desert golf, it's a classic parkland-style course placed in the desert. Trees and berms block the view of the course from the outside and hide the surrounding neighborhood from the course. In 2008 they spent another ton of cash to spruce up Shadow Creek, lengthening it in the process to over 7,500 yards.

Shadow Creek is available for play by guests at MGM Resorts hotels - at a very hefty price. It's regularly ranked among the best courses on the planet.
