Not as much excitement this weekend as the PGA and LPGA Tours would like, with Scottie Scheffler and Haeran Ryu rolling to easy victories on their respective tours.
The men’s tour visited the north side of Dallas this week, beating up the course at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney. It’s never surprising when Scottie Scheffler wins a tournament, but winning by eight strokes is kind of embarrassing to the rest of the guys who bothered to show up at Craig Ranch.
Black Desert Resort in southwest Utah hosted a professional tournament for the second time in about seven months, with the LPGA Tour coming in for the inaugural Black Desert Championship. (The PGA Tour had its first Black Desert Championship back in October.) Haeran Ryu of South Korea won for the third time on the LPGA Tour, beating Esther Henseleit and Ruoning Yin by five shots. Ryu’s big check was written up for $450,000.
